Happy New Year. Happy New Game.

Hello! Happy New Year to everyone.

This is aka. I’m currently developing a[nother] fan-made fighting game for Hololive (as of now). About me, I was a full-time game developer but right now, I’m just doing part-time jobs. That’s all I can say about me I guess. xD

I have posted a video link before of the game in Hololive Creators Club Discord Server which you can watch below.

This is the first game that we did that I eventually lost the code when I changed machine and got too busy with work. It’s made using a licensed engine in unity from my friend but right now, I can’t use it anymore. Thus, I decided to make a new engine for the remake. There are also some problems that I think is crucial to its further development if ever which I’ll mention down below.

Currently, I’ve been making the engine for about a month or two already, on-off along with my other jobs. I’ve started working on the core mechanics of it, e.g. FSM, input system, colliders, etc. Everything works fine but I remembered that we had a problem before about frame management. In the first game we made, we’re basically just playing the game regardless of frames, making collider hits inconsistent and having not much control with every move. Thus, I revamped the engine again with a basic frame management for now. A lot has been changed but I’m constantly changing or adding something everyday.

“Ok ok. So where is the game now?”, you might ask. I’ll be posting from time to time my changelogs when I finished them. This post just serves as an introduction for this devlog. As of now, I’m working on this project alone so updates might not be that too often and fast. In the meantime, you can check the initial GDD at the frontpage and give me some of your thoughts about it. I’ll also soon be posting links of forms for suggestions and the link to the issues page of the git project.

That’s it for now. Thank you for reading this long post. xD

P.S. Sorry for the very boring page, I’ll probably update it when there’s time to make it more appealing at least. For now, I just want to do the more important things.

Oh wow, there's news about this game!

It's been a while since that video, so I was starting to think the project had died.

It's great that you are getting the project back on track! Keep us updated every month or so if you can! :)

Hi! Thank you! And yes, I’ll be updating whenever I finish a feature on my list.
